Ma.La is the creative identity of Marta Lu, an artist and tattoo artist from Brescia with Southern Italian roots.

With a background in Literature and Philosophy and in Arts and Performance Technologies, Marta has developed a visual language in which symbolism, classical iconography and contemporary aesthetics meet fashion, illustration and alternative visual culture.

In 2015, she founded her first womenswear project, exploring identity, femininity and aesthetic storytelling. In 2023, that creative journey evolved into Ma.La.

Tattooing brought a more intimate and permanent dimension to her work. Every illustration is personally conceived and drawn by Marta, carrying its own symbols, narrative and meaning.
